In Yugawara, hospitality and discovery

In 1987, my parents built this family house. Over time, it became a place of conviviality, sharing and meetings. All my memories of happiness in this house brought me to create a welcoming area where everybody coming to dine is feeling at home.

CONCEPT

French home made cuisine with local Japanese products,a meeting of cultures

Grow local, eat local » is our slogan and it is very important for us to respect that. The area of Yugawara is full of fishing harbours. Every morning, local fishermen are coming back from Numazu, Manazuru or the Sagami bay with their catch of the day, full of local fishes from the Pacific Ocean like aji (Japanese horse mackerel), madai (red seabream), katsuo (skipjack tuna), kihada (yellowfin tuna)…
Farmers, breeders and vegetable producers are selecting their freshly harvested products for us. Every product is organic and full of flavour.
Our chef is offering a healthy, simple but tasty cuisine and depending on the daily delivery, he is cooking French dishes only with the local products.
Our Chef is collaborated with the Keijuan's owner, Keiko MINAMITANI, who is a famous journalist of a french gastronomic cuisine.

In between sky, earth and sea, near the Mount Fuji

Rôtisserie KEIJUAN, situé à Yugawara, 90km au sud-ouest de Tokyo (environ 90 minutes en train) entre l’Océan Pacifique et le Mont Fuji, inscrit au patrimoine mondiale de l’UNESCO en 2013. La ville de Yugawara est célèbre pour sa qualité des sources d’eau thermal, les bains Onsen.
Depuis le 20ème siècle, durant l’ère Showa, beaucoup d’écrivains comme Kawabata Yasunari, Natume Souseki, Akutagawa Ryunosuke… ont séjourné à Yugawara. Beaucoup d’artistes également comme Hosokawa Morihiro, ancien Premier Ministre Japonais, devenu un grand Maître de la porcelaine, y résident pour créer leur chefs d’oeuvre.
